In his address of welcome, PCDMA chairman Abdul Rahim Chughtai warmly welcomed the Chinese guests and revealed that approximately 70 percent of the chemicals and dyes items are being imported from China and members of this Association are responsible for all this business.
He also discussed business disputes and problems thereof, which are obvious with such big business.
Regarding visa matters, the chairman suggested considering the Association recommendation letter as the sufficient document for issuance of visas. The chairman expressed dissatisfaction over the issuance of Hong Kong visa and requested the Consul General to announce its parameters.
Replying to PCDMA Chairman's address, the Consul General reciprocated the sentiments of friendship and cordial relations between China and Pakistan. Concerning visa matters he categorically stated that every country has got its own visa rules and we are doing the same.
Talking about balance of trade, he specifically mentioned that half of the total mangoes produced in Pakistan could be marketed in China. Pakistani Basmati rice is of very good quality and very popular in China and we look forward to import it from Pakistan in large quantity.-PR
